the new craft room + {contest}!!

i have been dreaming about a real workspace for years.
maybe when the kids move out i always thought.
it isn't really nice to be in a hurry for your
ten year old to grow up and move out!

i decided to re-organize our storage/guest room/garage
and create my very own studio!
eek!

i have been ever so slowly adding goodies to my craft room.

now your job is to name it!!
i scrapbook, but mostly i create my {lollipops} cards.
i'm definitely a paper junky.
my 10 & 11 yo daughters will also be crafting with me!
Francesca likes beading and Soleil loves to draw.

maybe it will just be called the craft room?
or the studio?
or our workspace?
but i think you guys are more creative in this department
and can come up with a really fun name for us.

my girls and i will pick our favorite
and that lucky namer will win a set of
lovely lollipops {i heart you cards}!

love notes in a tin!
high quality card stock
6 cards 3 red 3 white
cards measure 2.20 X 4.12
"i heart you" printed on front, blank inside
front has heart punched corners
includes envelopes
comes in a sweet tin!

we really need your help!
leave your ideas in the comments.

  1. The Ala Boutique. (Or Idea Room/Studio/Space/Cove/Corner)

Ala= the last 3 letters of the girls in your family.

I'm AWFUL with naming things...but I wanted a shot at winning those super yummy cards. :)

  2. Hi
I thought I left a comment, but it didn't show up. I'll try again and hope it's not a duplicate.
I think you should name the craft room- "The Factory"

I think of a lollipop/candy factory- A Fantastic Factory of Drawing and Beading.

Creative, beautiful things will flow from your Factory.
There's my two cents- can't wait to see you and the girls next week.

  3. I left a comment already, but maybe it got lost with the switcheroo.

I like using the name Lollipop somehow.

    Like:

    Lollipop Factory
    Lollipop Shop
    Lollipop Fun
    Lollipop Creations
    Lollipop Dreams

It's cute, catchy and describes each of the 3 of you in some way.

  13. I was thinking "Craft Attack!" or "Oz". I have a room in my house called Oz that is my sanctuary, it's where I can get away and escape and feel like I'm in a different place sometimes. :)

  14. "In my Own Little Corner" like from Cinderella where YOU and the girls can create and maybe sing the fabulous song .....see lyrics below

But I know of a spot in my house
where no one can stand in my way.
In my own little corner in my own little chair
I can be whatever I want to be.
On the wings of my fancy I can fly anywhere
and the world will open its arms to me.
I'm a young Norwegian princess or a milkmaid
I'm the greatest prima donna in Milan
I'm an heiress who has always had her silk made
By her own flock of silkworms in Japan
I'm a girl men go mad for love's a game I can play with
cool and confident kind of air.
Just as long as I stay in my own little corner
All alone in my own little chair.
I can be whatever I want to be.
I'm a slave from Calcutta I'm a queen in Peru.
I'm a mermaid dancing upon the sea
I'm a huntress on an African safari.. it's a dangerous type of sport and yet it's fun
In the night I sally forth to seek my quarry
And I find I forgot to bring my gun.
I am lost in the jungle all alone and unarmed when I meet a lioness in her lair
Then I'm glad to be back in my own little corner,
All alone in my own little chair.

  22. Per my 6 year-old daughter's request to chime in: "The Club". Why? I ask. "Because clubs are secret. They make you feel special. And with a club, you share the same likes and ideas with the other people in your club. If her and her kids all go to The Club, they will always have a special place just for them." It was too cute of an answer not to share...even if it's not chosen. :) Thanks again for the opportunity!

I think that it would be cool if you called it Bonus. Not "the bonus room," just bonus. Or The Arcade. Or name it after a favorite pet or family member. My dad works at a school where they named a new addition The Ben" after a girl whose last name was Ben and had passed away the year before. I thought that was such a cool thing!
