Hello December

hello friends! happy first day of December!

i am so excited for this month!

we have just moved into our new place.
we have a bit more space and a lot more light! yay!

so now we have a lot of unpacking to do,
i can't seem to find my socks so i am wearing the surfer guy's.
i have mountains of laundry (oh, maybe my socks are in there!)
i have orders waiting to be shipped.
i have a ton of new products to add to the shop.
yesterday i couldn't find my wallet.
we all keep bumping into boxes and things and are trying to keep our patience.
but i love making home, don't you?
i can't wait to put the tree up and decorate this Sunday!

Dissecting the Header

all of the images in my blog header have so much meaning to me.
they say "a picture is worth a thousand words". we all know it's true.
i will spare you and keep it down to around 200 :)

a prayer list...

something i have done off and on,
something which the book the help re-inspired me to do.

in the book, Aibileen spends hours writing 

her prayer list every night after a long day of work.

every night.

they are referred to as 'super prayers' because they work.

writing down personal prayer requests and for those in need,
is a beautiful exercise.

the most amazing thing is

looking back at my list later,

and seeing all the answered prayers.

i am always so moved.

sometimes we forget how many He grants,
sometimes we just don't realize.
it really is beyond words.

any book, journal, notebook will do...
i have some fun notebooks from my shop i like to use.

do you keep a prayer notebook?

have you looked back mentally or in your book to see answered prayers?

what i never thought i would ever say...

things like; get that snail out of your mouth
and we don't poop in the shoe basket, we poop on the potty
are things i never dreamed i would ever possibly have any reason to say whatsoever

however, i am a mother, and as mothers we are blessed with the onslaught of new, strange, different, and innocent activities of our extremely curious tiny humans. sometimes it's hard not to laugh!

other things you might hear me say if you're within earshot is:
please don't torture your stuffed animals by suffocating them in the cooler.
no pointing at the lady with 89 body piercings and 65 tattoos, just pray for her.
please pet the cat instead of carrying her by her hind legs,
and no she doesn't like dress up (poor cat)
where did you put your waffle?
no, i'm sorry, we can't live in the cave with the bear at the zoo.
please put your clothes back on.
get your hand out of there.
no running down the hall with a ruler in your mouth.
why is there a waffle in your toy box?
please don't put sand in their dog's rear!

*sigh* my sweet curious little babies, i love you.

why little i ?

way back in the day when i started blogging, ahem, a few months ago, i decided to write i instead of I

why?

this i know you are longing to know, it's the burning question that keeps you up at night.
it's the thing the perplexes and puzzles your brain to the point of exhaustion... no? ok, well anyway...

i want you to know why.

grammatically speaking it is incorrect, yes i know.

however, i love lower case everything in every way...

and i want to know why when i write you and i, it's supposed to be you and I?
you are lower case and I and upper? seems a bit egotistical if you ask me.
though here i am at the top of my blog in front of my craft room daydreaming with my favorite boots on -seems selfish enough without having to capitalize {ME} all over my bloggy.
i am not more important than YOU so therefore you and i are equally important and special and wonderfully made :)

seeing their children grow through photos
lots of rest and relaxation

oh, yea, and we will be um, scrapbooking ;)

also looking forward to...

no laundry

no dishes

no cooking (except one meal) for four days

no exploding diapers to change

no bickering tweenagers

did i say no laundry?
no screaming, fit throwing toddler

kinda makes me sad... a little,

but mama needs a break.

it really is good for the whole family!

CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!

here's my pinterest scrapbook inspiration board 

i printed out and am bringing with me: (+ a stack of scrap mags!)

i just never know what i'm going to need 

so i have packed enough supplies to create 100 albums (oh dear)

but i will only be doing the second half of '07. i hope to finish it. 4 days should be enough. 

i have been scrapbooking now for almost 12 years! since my oldest was six months old :)

this is my 7th scrapbooking trip. i guess you can say i love it. hmm, let me see paper? yep, love it. photography? yep, that too. and design... well, there you go i guess it adds up to a scrappy love affair. luckily i have accomplices who are addicted as i am 

and we have inadvertently created quite lovely friendships. sigh.

i will have lots of photos from my trip to share with you next week!
