my girls out to lunch with me

my little francesca whipped this up yesterday

she has the crafting bug :)

lots of out going orders! productivity feels nice.

Hello Thursday: {Craft Room Makeover!} +giveaway winner!

yes! over the next few several weeks
i will be taking you through each step, every new addition, and update in my craft room.
we're talking furniture and new decor!
from drab to fab {fingers crossed}!!!

i hope you are excited as i am!

first revamp? yep, the birdcage :) i will be placing that in today!
i plan to invent such fun and practical ideas + i will have so much help of Creating Keepsake's Creative Spaces for more inspiration!

1. the bluebird photobooth! don't you just love photobooths? i do!!! now you can rent one!

3. new pacific rosettes at allora handmade yay!

4. stacy lynn's skirts so fun! look how cuuuute!!

Tuesday Tutorial {repurposed birdcage ribbon dispenser}

remember my 'inspiring' birdcage?

it has re-inspired me to create a newer purpose for it.

first i went to Michael's and bought some 3 foot dowels, 5 for .59 cents ea 

then i cut them in half.

i could have used a circular saw but that is scary so

i used some pruning shears instead. why not?

they worked great.

i slid the dowels into place

here is my problem

a laundry basket full of ribbons

they have been in buckets and baskets falling all over the place

getting in my way.

i am so excited for this...

just slide the ribbon into place.

pull a little bit out of the spool through the birdcage.

and viola!

put it on a lazy susan and spin it for easy access while you whip out lovely creations.

no glue, hammer, screws or circular saw :)

easy peasy!

have you ever had so much to do that it is totally paralyzing?

with three children life can get pretty busy

ballet

gymnastics

playdates

school work

chores

recitals

laundry

laundry

laundry

dishes

i am so overwhelmed it stops me in my tracks.

i don't know where to begin!

so...

i keep coming back to this

it reminds me to not hurry to finish,

finish a race of nothing.

to take in each moment and enjoy the laundry, dishes, errands

because it is all so very temporary.

...

and a little of this doesn't hurt

it's my little cup of peace each morning.

there, i feel better already.

Queen Bee Market Recap

i had sooooo-o much fun at my first ever big show!!

there are so many amazing and talented ladies, not to mention the queen bees - Jessica and Mique -love and adore them.

this was my first big event and the first time i met people online before meeting them in real life. Crazy, super fun!

it was so amazing to watch the set up: a big empty ballroom - then boom - gorgeous booths with awesome vendors!

i also enjoyed the company of my pals from the hood - Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy, Emily of Blue Corduroy, and Stacy of Stacy Lynn designs <--who i bought 2 skirts from at the stitch market and wore one each day of Queen Bee!! Stacy's skirts seriously keep flying out the door!
