I loved working with Ginger on her redesign. Her blog is about the lovely things she salvages and sews. She gets all her fabric from things that were cast away and unwanted and she turns them into beautiful  things that are very wanted. Quilts, bags, scarves, wallets, aprons... you name it. And with such cool vintage fabrics she creates these cool goods. Not only does she make, she also writes well, and she is hilarious. You must stop by her blog to read a few of her posts, see her original works, and inspiring photographs. I think you'll be smitten by her quirky originality. I had so much fun working with her. Daily I would get a dose of Ginger and be laughing out loud in my studio right off my swivel chair. She has individual style, and had a good sense of what she wanted. And she was able to communicate it easily - which is quite helpful for everyone involved ;)

Announcing: The Creative Arcade!

for months i have been planning and working towards a very exciting goal!

i have been bursting at the seams waiting to share this with you...
today i am officially launching my web design studio!

last January my readers helped me name my craft room in a contest.
(it was the only non-random giveaway i have held)
the lovely Meg came up with The Arcade.
i loved it so much, so she won! however it needed a little something more
and my little Francesca added "Creative".
so i have decided to keep the name for  all my design;
from my craft room to my web design business! yay!!!

as i mentioned on Saturday i designed this blog on my own and
had sooooo much fun doing it that i am thrilled to forge this new path!

i already have a few projects in the works and...

to celebrate lollipops' 1 year birthday, 

i am giving 1 lucky reader a blog design!!!

Hello Thursday: {Craft Room Makeover!} +giveaway winner!

ok this is really hard for me to do.
however i am going to do it.

yes! over the next few several weeks
i will be taking you through each step, every new addition, and update in my craft room.
we're talking furniture and new decor!
from drab to fab {fingers crossed}!!!

first revamp? yep, the birdcage :) i will be placing that in today!
i plan to invent such fun and practical ideas + i will have so much help of Creating Keepsake's Creative Spaces for more inspiration!

i made these banner note cards for my friend Gussy.

once we started working together on these i was skipping around the room giddy!

the papers instantly made me think of her. super fun!

these intricate little fellers are Darcy's from my3boybarians

i was thrilled when Darcy chose owls. {love}

then along came Ruthanne from eclecticwhatnot for some sweet thank you's 

to match her shop & bloggy decor.

aren't these fun! i love how they are square, 

and how the design bleeds to the edges with no border!

and hmmm, i wonder who had the idea for aqua envelopes 

*looks innocently side to side and behind* oh, yea, that was me ;)

Announcing the New Craft Room Name!!!

thank you all who brainstormed and shared your ideas with us!

after much thought and consideration (so much we went past our allotted time!), 

we finally picked the name that fits the girls and i and our crafts ;)

and the lucky winner is Meg who said "The Arcade" and my girls tweeked it to...

"The Creative Arcade"

why arcade you say?

when i think of an arcade i think of fun and bright colors.

i think of all the games at an arcade like all the different crafts my girls and i share.

beads, eyelets, papers, stamps, thread, ribbon = arcade

besides, we just {LOVE} the name Arcade!!!

it's different and interesting!
